FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 August 31 – September 15 2019

After suppling our backstop units to the FIBA Basketball World Cup in several countries in Europe (Greece, 1998 - Turkey, 2010 & Spain, 2014) this summer it’s
“showtime” in China!

32 nations, 8 cities & 48 basketball units!

For the first time the FIBA Basketball World Cup will take place in China. With 32 teams divided into 8 groups of 4 teams, the tournament will be played in 8 different cities:

1. Beijing
2. Foshan
3. Wuhan
4. Shenzhen
5. Dongguan
6. Nanjing
7. Shanghai
8. Guangzhou

Each of these cities will have Schelde Sports basketball equipment on their training courts (3 units) as well as on their competition court (3 units). In total Schelde Sports will provide this event with a record of 48 basketball units!

Each basketball unit will be branded in the colors of the event and city and will have a special look & design!

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019/Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Also during this World Cup event teams have the possibility to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Games. 7 teams will qualify directly for the year’s Olympic Games. The top ranked team from Africa, Asia and Oceania respectively and the top 2 ranked teams each from the Americas and Europe at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 will all qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Games.

During the Tokyo 2020 games, Schelde Sports will be present with the following equipment:

- 5x5 Basketball - Super SAM 325

- 3x3 Basketball - SAM 3x3 unit
